A 1.7 mm tracker that works with both Apple Find My and Google Find Hub. Nikhil joined Mokobara to work around great products, and ended up helping make one. This page explains what it is, why it exists, how the network behind it works — and lets you walk through a simulated day in its life.

Lost luggage is the worst moment in a travel brand's customer journey.
Mokobara’s customer experience is designed end to end — product, retail, post-purchase. The one moment the brand never controlled was the belt: the bag that did not come out. Tracker tags existed, but they were an accessory, and they took sides between iPhone and Android.
In May 2025 Google turned Find My Device into Find Hub and named Mokobara — with July — as the first luggage brands with built-in finding. That made the missing product obvious: a Mokobara-designed tracker that worked on both networks, slim enough to disappear into a bag, a wallet or a car.
Then, in March 2026, Find Hub added the piece that turns tracking into recovery: a secure, expiring location link a customer can hand to the airline. Air India was among the first carriers to accept it.

The hardware is a Bluetooth radio, a battery and a speaker. The product is everything that makes a customer trust it: the dual-network decision, the launch page, the support flows, and the moment at the belt.
Both networks or nothing
One device that pairs with Apple Find My or Google Find Hub, so the honest answer to "will it work with my phone?" is yes.
Ship it like software
A product page, a launch post and a design credit — Vishnu Vadakkoot and Priyal S. — with the early response described, in Nikhil's words, as a proud-dad moment.
Seasons, not sprints
Hardware gets one build. The software habits — measure, iterate, ship — have to move upstream into design and testing.
No GPS. No SIM. A billion phones and end-to-end encryption.
A crowd-sourced finding network. This is the public architecture Apple and Google describe — the tracker itself never knows where it is.

The tracker is added to Find My or Find Hub. Keys are generated on the owner's device; the tracker only ever holds rotating public keys.

Broadcast
Every few seconds the tracker advertises a rotating, anonymous identifier over Bluetooth LE. It has no GPS, no SIM and no idea where it is.

Sighting
A passing Android or iPhone hears the advertisement, encrypts its own location with the tracker's public key, and uploads the blob. The passer-by learns nothing.

Resolve
Only the owner's device holds the private key, so only the owner can decrypt the location report. The network is end-to-end encrypted by design.
